I don't usually tell anyone to buy a book when there is so much informtion on the internet, but in this case there are a lot of conflicting information. Be sure and have the right towing truck. I live on top of a mountain plateau and the number of fifth wheel rv's that are on the side of the road is amazing. The reason why in a lot of cases is the truck just can't make it up the mountain. It doesn't have enough towing power. There are a lot dealers out there that will help you with this, if the dealer at the fifth wheel rv dealership doesn't ask you about your tow truck. Then ask them and make sure they know what they are talking about.

If you have to buy a new truck for your fifth wheel rv. Make sure the salesman knows what he/she is talking about. Do your research on this too. Edmunds.com is a great source to find out the facts on trucks. That is where we found all the information we needed for our new truck. It works like a dream.

The smaller fifth wheel rvs can help save you on your gas bill. I talked with a woman the other day she had just went to Alaska with her fifth wheel rv. She and her husband was gone about 4 months and spent over $6,000 on gas. So the gas bill can get pretty high.
